About this Trip

Kenya is often described as the African continent in microcosm. You will see some of the best parks in Africa from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara, home of the “Big Five” and the Masai people.

Take advantage of hot pricing on our air/land combination packages, including airfare from North America on some of the best long-haul carriers. Most trips are fully customizable, so you can add days or tours according to your particulate likes, interests or bucket list.

Sometimes described as Africa in miniature, Kenya is a land of dynamic contrasts. This 8 day round trip from Nairobi takes in breathtaking scenery, well preserved traditions and Masai Mara National Park.

Mt Kenya provides a spectacular backdrop to 3 nights exploring the surrounding region. You’ll take a morning game drive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Home to a wide range of animals, the Conservancy is particularly known for its chimp and black rhino populations. Then drive to your lodge at the foot of Mt Kenya. This prime position offers a unique game watching experience, as the animals come to you – or at least, to a waterhole located just below the lodge’s terrace, offering a fantastic opportunity to photograph these majestic creatures.

Vast flocks of flamingos descend on Lake Nakuru, along with warthogs, baboons and other impressive mammals. More game drives await you after lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Try and spot some of the park’s introduced black and white rhinos. Leopard sightings have also increased in recent years.

The vast plains of the Serengeti cross the border into Kenya, becoming Masai Mara. This game reserve is famous for its large population of big cats and the colourful culture of the Masai people. This is one of the best preserved parts of Kenya, where life has changed little in the past century. You’ll enjoy game drives, visit a traditional Masai village, and savour a definitive Kenyan experience, breakfast overlooking hippos in the river. Or opt for a balloon ride at extra cost, for incredible views over the famous ‘endless plains’.
